School's Mission
The mission of the Al-Huda Weekend School is to consolidate the Islamic
beliefs and practice in our children through the teaching of Quran and the Arabic Language. This education is
essential to help your child face future challenges as a Muslim. The program is designed to assist your child in this
endeavor. The home and the school have a joint responsibility for the child's development.
Primary Language of the School
The primary teaching language of the school is Classical Arabic. The majority of children come from
environments where Arabic is spoken, in different dialects, but the mission of the school is to teach
children Classical Arabic for the purposes of studying the Quran and understanding Islamic values.
Other Arabic dialects will also be spoken.
School Advisory Committee
The school advisory committee is made up of several individuals who report to the Executive Director and who
assist and guide the area directors. The committee is open to suggestions at any time, either in writing or
verbally.
The school is often looking for people to dedicate their time and skills to either groups of students
or to individuals. If you have something special you would like to contribute or share or sponsor, please
contact the members of the school committee to discuss how best to plan and
implement.
Donations
Donations to the Al-Huda Weekend School are very much appreciated. The tuition cost does not cover
all of the operating costs. Donations greatly assist with the expansion and improvement projects and may
go toward creating a scholarship fund for tuition. Your donation will go a long way in assisting us in
providing a good Islamic education for your children.
